First of all, Rush Card DID seem like it was one of the better debit card companies... At first. That was until I accidentally lost my debit card. I called up their toll free customer service number thinking that I would really get some 'customer service'.
First and foremost, when I started the call it sounded like their connection was from some beat up pay phone in the projects, with all the 'static clicks' that I was hearing. Secondly, when I did finally get to talk to someone, they didn't seem like they were really interested with my problem, just ready to get me off the line as soon as possible. They charged me 30.00 dollars for an express replacement card which was supposed to be mailed in 3 business days. What this imbecile failed to let me know was that it would require a signature for my card to be delivered.By me not being informed of this, my card was mailed to my home address, while I was at work in another state.
After the 3 business days I flew home only to find that my card was not there in my mailbox waiting, it was sent back to the shipper. (which was a totally separate company!!!) Long story short, it ended up taking me 11 days to get my card instead of the 3 business days that they promised me, and I was out-of-state without a dime to my name for the whole time...
Their 'customer service' sucks. Their customer service reps could care less and are actually clueless when it comes to helping the customer, and the supervisors only can tell you just as much as the dumb customer service reps can. Rush Card is a joke, and Russell Simmons should not be represented by a company that really could care less about the people who put their hard-earned money in these people's hands. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy!!!
