In Feb. Of my wife and I entered a rental contract with the landlord, David Gordon. Upon moving in he mentioned rats would come up from the neighboring golf course, but they were nothing to worry about. A few months went by and the rats began to get worse.
Upon notifying the landlord about the problem he said that he would take care of it. Many months went by and still he did nothing to take care of the problem. The place slowly became more and more infested with rats. We had a dog and every morning she would kill anywhere from two to six rats. Every time we took the rent money up to him the rat problem was brought up, and again he said that he would take care of it, only never doing so.
Several months later, when the weather was getting colder the rats began to eat through the walls of the garage. When the landlord was notified about the problem again saying he would take care of it, he never did. Finally, my wife and I had an emergency to tend to in December. Upon our return the rats had eaten holes in the garage walls and got in to the engine of my wifes new lexus. Total damage was estimated at $2100.
The landlord is lazy and never held up to his end of the lease. He tried to take us to court only to have no such luck. He lied, even avoided the situation only to look worse as a landlord. I highly suggest to rethink before you go and rent from this man, David Gordon.
