For two years now, I have had a problem with rodents and insect infestation. I contacted Forest City Residential in the area and complained about the problem. The problem was known prior to our occupancy. At that time, the housing was owned by the Navy. Then Forest City assumed responsibility for our property. After which, we complained of both rats and insects and were told that we were responsible for the insects. The rats took more than one month for them to respond to for pest controls. We have since had dead rats in our attic for greater than three days. The smell from the rats has emanated throughout out house. Upon calling Forest City about the DEAD RATS, I received the response that they would send an email to the pest control personnel. Forest City should be making enough money off of their venture with the Navy to afford to have someone to remove the DEAD RATS when they are called. If someone has anymore information on whether or not this is a violation of the tenant agreement, please respond.
