Here is another amerigas unsatisfied customer. As with the other reports, I called to get propane filled and was told the price was $4.04. I called around to other propane companies in my area and they were only $2.25, but since when I built my house and had the tank put in, I am "technically renting the tank" so I am stuck with getting the gas from them.
Well I couldn't afford to get their "minimum 400 gallons for my 800 gallon tank" since they said they have a rule that for delivery it has to be 1/2 the tank size. So I waited a week and now the price is $3.06, so I had to do it since I was below 10% and also paid for an emergency delivery, which they said they couldnt deliver fro 4 days. Then why do I have to pay for emergency delivery if I can't get it.
So I ran out of gas, and had to get the guy to come out at 11pm to give me 20 gallons that will hopefully hold me over the weekend. Now what really makes me mad about amerigas, is that for 5 years now everytime we order gas we have a problem and I have as many of you kept record. We call and 2 weeks late still no gas and have to re call and then they try to charge us higher price when it was there fault it wasn't delivered. And they are famous for coming and not filling the complete order so I have to recall because they forget to come and finish, yet they have charged me and again have to fight the price.
So my problem with them now is that when I could only afford 200 gallons of propane I was told No because it has to be 400 gallons, but it is okay for them to come and just give me 200 because they run out and then they dont come back until I call, so why can't they just deliver 200 gallons? People have smaller tanks then I do and they can get a smaller amount. I am definitely going to after this last weekend going to have them take their tank and I am going with another company.
No explanations was ever given to me about why the price is so high when gas prices are down. No customer service at all at this company. What ever you do, always take NAMES of who you talk to, it will help you out if ever a problem
