I prepurchased 1,000 gallons of propane from Level for the 2002 heating season. I used the 1,000 gallons and there was no problem with this transaction.
I own my tank and in September I started looking for a propane company to fill my tank. I always look for the cheapest price. While I was still looking, Level Propane filled my tank on 9/11. I called to ask why they filled my tank and they said I told them I was on courtesy call, which is not true. All I did was prepurchase 1,000 gallons the previous heating season. When I ask them to produce evidence that I told them I wanted to be on courtesy call they could not. I believe I talked to Joe in customer service on 9/17. He said I never told them I wanted to be a will call customer. I shouldn't have to tell them since I never asked to be on courtesy call.
The next problem is the exorbitant price I was charged. Level charged me $1.229 per gallon. I could have purchased it for $. 67/gallon from Stryker LP, $. 799 from Thermogas and $. 67 from TriFlo.
Joe said he would lower the price to $. 999 for me. I still think this is unfair and Level should lower the price to at least $. 799/gallon or pump their gas out of my tank.
