Atlantic Chevrolet Cadillac, Pre-Owned Supercenter
Poor customer service

On January 4 I purchased a used 2006 ford focus at Atlantic Cheverolet for the price of $9,900. After the sales agent and I agreed on the price I proceeded into the finace department and met a gentlemn by the name of Michael. I signed all of the necessary paper work and within a half and hour i was on my way home with the car. The only thing was that i had to return on 1/9/09 to surrender the dealer plates and pick up my new plates and registration. You see they said they would handle everything, alos they also indicated that i would get a copy of all documents on 1/9/09. However, when i returned on 1/9/09 to swap plates the only documentation i received was my insurance papers. Unfortunatley I was half way home wheni noticed that the documents including the bill of sale were missing. As a result i immediatley contacted th dealership and asked if they could mail me the paperwork. You seeI live about 60 miles away from the dealership. They agreed and so I though eveything was taken care of. Well I guesssed wrong. On the evening of 1/12/09 i contacted the dealership for the second time and asked if they mailed the paper work, there response was that they forgot. But they did inform me to contact them in the morning to remind them. So at 10am in the morning i contacted the dealership as requested and reminded them to mail me the paperwork. I also requested if they could fax me a copy of the sales slip. They said sure. Once again I though eveything was being handled.in about an hour at 11am I called my office to see if atlantic faxed the sales slip and there was nothing. I called once again and they said we tried but the fax line was busy and indicated they would try again in 5 minutes. Well when i returned to the office at 2:30pm there was no fax. I conatced the dealership and spoke to the general manager and he said that he would fax and mail the information personally and he did. When i reveiwed the sales receipt i noticed that it was not correct, the purchase price was wrong and i was charged and additinal 695 for a lojack system that i never ordered. Now im frustrated and ready to drive down to the dealership and explode. I calmed myself down and made another call, well there was no one available, i left a detailed message with customer service agent and requested that someone contact me ASAP. I guess they all decided to take lunch break or fly down to washington in there private jets to beg for a bailout. At about 6:00 pm i received a call from Michael there finance guy and he apoligized for the mistake and said to call him on 1/15/09 and that the situation would be resolved. I called him on 1/15/09 at 10:00 and his response was ya the error was corrceted. When questioned if i could receive the bill of sale he became annoyed and said should i mail it to you. Now from my point of view the 695 mistaked does not include taxes and the finanace charge i'm paying for the next 5 years. He should remove the 695 from the principal balance and recalulate the taxes and finance charge.in addition I paid 10,600 for the car instead of the advertised price 9,900. I also questioned the price and they claim ther were other charges. Please note that the fees were not your typical DMV fees, document fees, bank fees. I was never informed of these fees and i believe i was robbed. I am ready to return the car if eveything is not resolved.
