Erik U, Hing Not following through, giving me the run around

I do not know what to do. I have read many of the entries and it would seem that I have fallen into the same trap as anyone else who has dealt with Peoples First Financial.

In August of I spoke with a representative from Peoples First Financial. I was told of all the things that could be done for me. 1. Lower monthly mortgage 2. Lower interest rate 3. Get my principal lowered 4. My new montly mortgage would include my taxes and insurance, which my current one does not include. My home was already in foreclosure when I started dealing with Peoples First but I was on a repayment plan with my mortgage company. I had 1 more on time payment to make with my mortgage company and my mortgage company would have rolled anything I owed them back into my mortgage and consider me current.

After talking with Erik U at Peoples First he told me that his company could do all of the above for me. That my mortgage company HAS to work with Peoples First because they are a government run program. I explained to him that I was nervous because I only had 1 more payment to make and then my mortgage company would consider me "current" (although my monthly mortgage payments would go up $400 a month for the life of the loan). I expressed my concern that if I did not make my payment they would foreclose on my house. Erik U. Assured me that once I become a client with PFF that my mortgage company CAN NOT foreclose on me because I am protected. That was all in August.

I faxed Erik all the requested paperwork and of course my authorization to debit my credit card of $2495.00.in the beginning I was able to get ahold of Erik for any updates and he would tell me that it is too soon, that this process will take a minimum of to 4 months.

Now it is January and guess what I got!!! Foreclosure papers in the mail. I have tried contacting ANYONE at Peoples First Financial and I couldn't get ahold of anyone. I have left Erik several messages, and no return phone call as of yet. I finally got a Tom on the phone at customer service. I explained to him what was going on and he advised me that he can not find any of my information in the computer, that he will have to send a request for my hard file. He just simply said "fax the papers to me and I will get your file pulled." I was like "that's it? This is my house you are playing with" and all he could say was "fax the papers".

After getting off the phone with Tom, I called my mortgage company to verify with them that Peoples First Financial is working with them on my behalf. My mortgage company told me that they have not talked to anyone other than my husband or myself. That they don't even have an authorization from me to talk to anyone.

This morning (1/9/09) I faxed the papers and called a couple of hours later and got the same guy, Tom. I asked him if he received my fax and he looked and said no. He asked if I could refax them to him, which I did while we were on the phone. While waiting for him to receive my 2nd fax, he kept saying that he was having technical difficulties with his computer. He told me that he will put in a request to have my file pulled and that would take 48 hours. We hung up.

Now this evening, I called Peoples First and spoke with Hing, he gave me the usual rnunaround. He started most of his sentences off with "Ma'am, I am not going to lie to you, blah blah blah." I knew things were not going to go well when he start off like that. He told me that his computer system is down and that he can't look at my file. I asked him for proof that his company is working with my mortgage company because since I have started this process I have not received anything from them, not even a phone call.

Hing gave me his phone number and extension to call him tomorrow and he said that he will help me and get me what I requested. It will be interesting to see what happens.

My husband and I are freaking out. We finally have home and now we are going to lose it because we were told to not make our mortgage payments.

Don't these people have consciences? How can they look in the mirror every day and be happy with what they are doing? How do we stop them? How do I save my home??
