Platinum card offer is bogus

I received a pre-approved card offer in the mail from First Premier. The offer was for a "Platinum" mastercard. The word Platinum leads consumers to think they are getting a decent, real, genuine card offer from a prospectful creditor. So, I accepted the offer. Unbenounced to myself, there were $178 in fees billed to this card before I even received the card in the mail. I understand this is a "credit building/rebuilding" card, and I understand that there should be fees associated for this service provided to the consumer... But $178??? How many card holders have they charged this amount to? Even if it is one million customers, that is $178,000, 000 they have profited right off, and that does not include interest on any purchases, does not include the recurring annual and monthly fees these customers are already paying, nor does it include the amount they are charging the retailers to accept their credit cards... And the straw that broke the "camel's back" for me, was they had a payment due date set up also, before I ever received my card in the mail... And they waited until 2 days before that payment was due to send me my monthly statement, making my first payment past due, so they then charged my account $29 past due fee, and that made my account go over it's limit, so they charged me an additional $39 over the limit fee... So, that is an additional $70 in fees they are attempting to charge me. Looks as if I am in the wrong business, I need to open a credit card company, and stick it in everyone's asses... Then maybe, my credit might start to improve... The rich get richer and the poor keep getting screwed and further and further behind in life... I told First Premier to stick this card in their ass, and the $178 plus the few purchases I was able to make is just simply on them... My credit is screwed up anyway, so this wont matter or make a difference... My advice to anyone with poor or limited credit, that is searching for a credit card: STAY AWAY FROM FIRST PREMIER!!! If you get an offer in the mail, shred it and discard it... It's not worth the aggravation. This should be illegal, and absolutely should be more regulated by the federal government... It's almost like insurance companies, they're allowed to screw the consumers as much and as often as they desire, and they get away with it...
