I received a letter on December 5th that was dated November 25th from Pipeline Data Processing, Inc. The letter stated that I was automatically being placed into a compliance certification program at an annual fee of $150, beginning in December. I received this letter 10 days after the letter was sent out which was well into the month of December and too late to act.
This is a huge scam with the letter being sent out on black Friday and during the busiest time of the year when you have no time to switch credit card processing companies let alone contact the company to explain what this was about.
When I finally had a chance to contact them after working all day, 7 days a week to be told the money was already taken out and that I would be also assessed a monthly fee of $19.95 if I did not answer an online questionnaire. I demanded my money back and explained that under no circumstances I was agreeing to the terms. The letter didn't even arrive in time to respond to their demand.
How can this company get away with this? The money is gone, how can you ever get it back?
