I am a Canadian Resident that bought a Keystone Outback Travel Trailer from a Dealership in Ohio. The Dealer ship was great to me and was very good to deal with. My problem started when I noticed we had a leak in our water fresh water tank which actually left the trailer pretty much unusable. I contacted Dealer ships in canada which were Keystone dealers that would have fixed the problem but wanted to bill me first and then have me collect from The Keystone manufacture. I thought that it was a little wierd so I called the Keystone service line and they told me not to take it to that dealer ship and to find another one that would work on it and bill the company directly rather than me. So I proceded to call about 20 dealerships within canada and they all said that i would have to pay for the repairs up front and then collect from keystone on my own. I went back to keystone and told them this and the keystone rep explained that they were having trouble with there canadian dealerships doing this because so many canadian were going to the states and buying trailers on there own because of the strong canadian dollar. When I was done tlking to keystone they assured me that they would find somewhere for me to take my trailer and get it fixed because they recognized that it was there problem. After many many phone calls to keystone and promises that they were going to do things which they never ever followed through on I soone relised that I was on my own and that Keystone was not going to help me get my water tank replaced on a brand new 2008 keystone outback trailer which I never did ever get to use this summer because of the problem with it. I contacted the dealer from which I bought the unit from and they said that they would get the problem taken care of, which they did eventually get it taken care of they found me a dealership for me to take my trailer to and basically had worked out a deal with the company to have them do the work and then just bill the company credit card and then said that he would deal with keystone (It was kinda funny because when I talked to keystone I said that I was just going to have the dealership that I bought it off of pay for it and they could deal with the keystone manufacture and keystone said no to that along with a lot of other suggestions). I spent countless number of hours on the phone on this problem when all Keystone would do is say they were dealing with it and they never did. They would out right lie and say they contacted so and so from a dealership so then I would call the dealership that they said they called and check up on there work and not once did they call or do anything that they said they did. Keystone was going to try and leave me high and dry with the bill. I havent got to use the camper becaues this issue started when we got the camper in May and did get resolved till now which is Dec 8 months of phoning and hounding Keystone and I still didn't get anywhere with them, it was my dealership that I bought it off of that helpd me out. I can honestly say that I don't know if the camper is a good camper as far as quality but I can say that from my past expierience I would have a hard time buying a keystone product again because of the way that I was treated. They didn't care. I have a lot of people asking me about the camper and if I like so I gently mention to them that I dont know what the capmer is like if you buy one hope you dont have any troupble because if you need help from the factory you are on your own Keystone wont help at all. I am so amd about all of the stuff that went on with Keystone I have tried to contact there company and let them know that there is a big problem with the way they are handling things but once again I tried to send multiple emails to there service/Parts/Warranty site and didnt ever get a response back. I guess the biggest disappointment for me is that the Keystone company never ever did try to make it right. They could have sent a letter saying that they were sorry about never ever getting our camper fixed but nope they didnt do anything but I beat if I called them today they would say that they were still working on the problem. Keystone you are not going to be around long if this is the way you are handling your customers. The reason I am filling this out is because I would love for keystone would contact me to make the situation right I am really curious to see how you are going to deal with me. I am not going to hold my breath because I really dont think Keystone will do anyting for me. I am a very unhappy customer right now and I will get my story out there.
