Dissatisfied Keystone CustomerIn I purchased a Keystone Outback 5thwheel. Shortly after buying it I started to notice the front cap was startingto look wavy and wrinkled. I took it to the dealer and they found staples atthe top sticking out. They put some sealer on them and sent me on my way. Stillhaving a problem with the wavy front I recently took it to A. & s. RVdealership. The service manager and my insurance agent both determined thatthere was no water damage and that it was indeed a manufacture defect. Theysent pictures to the Keystone Company and they denied my claim. I called thecompany a couple of times and they flat out told me no, they would not do athing for me. I even asked if they would go half way on the cost, again wastold no. I have been told from RV service centers that the front cap is made of cardboard base and thatit just hangs suspended. Naturally, it is going to lose its shape. Very poorengineering.
One dealer told me that they have problems with Keystonebacking first year warranties, much less problems that dont show up until ayear or so later.
Needless to say, I couldnt live with the manufacture defectany longer; Keystone wouldnt accept any responsibility so I had it repaired atmy own expense for $1300.
Im very disappointed with Keystone; they didnt take careof my issues and may not help anybody with this well-known problem.
Unhappy custome
