Defective televisions/refusal of warranty

I purchased a Digital Lifestyle flat screen TV from Home Shopping Network (HSN) on Dec. 15. The TV would not turn on after 11 months of use. I called HSN and was told I'd have to go through Digital Lifestyle and was given the number to call. I called and was told I'd have to ship the television back to them at my own expense and then when they had the UPS tracking number they would ship out a new television to me. I shipped the TV at great time, trouble and expense to myself and called with the tracking number. I was then told they no longer carried my model of television and would be shipping to me a Sceptre TV. The TV came a little over a week later, on Dec. 15. It worked for less than 2 days and then had no picture. I called Digital Lifestyle and they told me I would have to contact Sceptre and gave me a number which wasn't even an 800 number. I called the number at my own expense and was told they could do nothing as they hadn't sent me the TV, Digital Lifestyles did. I called Digital Lifestyles back and they said I'd have to talk to Sceptre and again gave me the number. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that he would phone me back. Two days later, on Dec. 19, he phoned telling me I'd have to contact Sceptre. Obviously, they think that honoring the warranty includes shipping out another defective tv and then they don't want to have anything to do with standing behind the product.
