This company UCB along with Client Services, Inc. Has called my grandmother threatning to take her to jail and myself several times day and night due to an unpaid Citi Card credit card, which by the way we have had since 2001 and have always paid on time, due to a job lose I can no longer afford to pay it. I have not refused to pay, I simply told them I will pay as soon as am able. However these people want cash on hand now.
What a profit, they bought this from Citi Cards pennies on the dollar, something like. 09 cents on the dollar and now want the full amount for profit of course. It is understandable they are in the business to make money, but the harrasement is Illegal.
These people are unbelievable, I am looking for a lawyer right now to see if he/she will take my case, I think they have misused their authority and along with that have violated the FDCPA fair debt collection pracvtice act.
As for me I have reported them to the Fair Trade Commission, who were very nice and willing to assist and made it clear that these two companies were using Illegal practice. How about the rest of you do the same, I think we can stop them, the Fair Trade Commissions already closed down one collection company for operating this way, why not this one also. Enough complaints will get them closed down.
