They extorted $ 1500.00 from me over a contract that wasn't supposed to be valid...
I tried for 2 months to get drawing to double check at the job site. They wouldn't give the drawings to me until I signed and paid the deposit on the contract. I signed the contract and sent my wife to there office to see if they would give the drawing to me. They still would not give the drawing to us. So I went down to see the drawings and they were all wrong. When my wife was down at there office she forgot our file there and it had the signed copy of our contract in it. Thats why we couldn't find anything in our filing.
My wife had talked to her at there office and said that nothing was binding until we gave the deposit. Two months down the road the drawing are still wrong and I'm not aware of the signed contract at there office. I go and find another company to bid the job. They come out in one day and the next day I have drawings that are correct at a much lower price. Classic Wood design comes out one more time to try to get the cabinets right and the still couldn't. I went with the other company. She calls me back the next day and I said that the contract was ready to sign if I was ready. I said I was waiting for another bid to come in and then I would let them Know. I go with the other company.
Classic wood design calls me back and says that they have a signed contract and that If i dont pay them 1500.00 dollars by the end of that day that they were going to lean my property and I wouldn't be able to sale my homes. They fax a copy of the old contract that was signed and left in there office by accident and was said to be not vaild is now valid and going to be used against me. I feel outraged by this I paid the 1500.00 extortion money. I don't know what else to do. The lady who runs the place is very rude and nasty.
