Coaching Institute resorted to fraudulent claims and misrepresentation of their company to get their contract signed

In response to an e-mail, on December 14 (Friday) I attended a Realtors Continuing Education seminar given in Sunrise Florida by Andy Rosas, representing the company Coaching Institute.

My purpose in going was mainly for the C/E credit. Nothing that interesting, people getting up and leaving before he was finished. At the end, Mr. Rosas told me that the company was so sure the coaching program worked, that they (Coaching Institute) were offering a "double your money back guarantee". I told him I was skeptical, and why would the company do that, to which he replied something about it was just somehting they wanted to do. I asked him how they would give you your money, to which he replied "they will write you a check" I asked him several more times about the guarantee, and he continued to say that same thing about if you tried the program and didn't bring in $12,000, they would give you back your investment. I asked him if it was so good, why wasn't everyone doing it? He responded that some people just didn't want to work.

Based on that conversation with him, I signed up and had to run.in the evening, after reviewing the contract, I saw that that was not in agreement with what Mr. Rosas had said to me. I sent him an e-mail asking for the money back guarantee in writing, to which he never responded. First thing Monday I called the company in Draper to cancel. I was told I could not. I sent several letters to Craig Hendricks, and e-mails and had many phone conversations with Customer Service to get this resolved.

Finally, on May 20 Customer Service told me they would offer me the money back guarantee, but, with the conditions that I had to make all 25 good offers in only 6 1/2 months.By then I had moved my direction away from real estate, and with summer around the corner, I knew it couldn't be done. I told them I felt I was being set up to fail, and I just wanted the contract canceled and for them to reimburse Matrix the money they had received from them. I was told they would get back to me.

I have not heard from them regarding the contract since.in October I sent a certified letter requesting a cancellation, and still no answer. The phones are all not in service, and according to another company that works with them, they moved to another building and are using another name for the business. She took my name and number to pass on to Coaching Institute, however if and when they will call is a mystery.

Anyone considering doing business with any kind of coaching business should BEWARE. Companies fraudulently misrepresenting themselves need to be held accountable.
