This company found our website—for our repair and remodeling business in Hawaii—and they called us. For $1025 they were going to give us client referrals that were 'sure things'; that were already set up and ready to hire us.
After our CEO had signed up, and given our credit card #, to these schisters I decided to check them out a little more thoroughly. Every search I did turned up the words "SCAM" and "RIPOFF".
I ran—do not walk! —to the bank to try and stop payment. The CEO cancelled our credit card. But, because of slow processing they still got our $1025. Our bank is investigating them for FRAUD and working on getting our money back.
They did give us a phone number, but when we called the "client" said, "Yes, my name is * * and, yes, this is my phone number, but I NEVER gave out my number. I am not looking for a contractor and am not needing any type of work done". FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD.
Oh, and by the way, right after our bank started their investigation—can you say FBI—we received a couple of threatening phone calls. They are trying to scare us into stopping the investigation. These people are not only fraudulent, but dangerous. Seriously: BEWARE!
Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much)
