I was in dire straights and was applying for credit cards left and right. Someone called me back - it was AVLIS. They said they would give me a card with no charges (finance, late fee or over the limit fee) with a limit of $2500 with a ONE TIME ONLY fee of $349. Since I was desperate I went for it and gave them my account # and my routing #- and also my ssn#!
This is a SCAM! I never got anything in the mail so far and no one is ever there when I call - everyone is always busy!
I never got anything in the mail so I went to do a search and found out this site and saw they were frauds. I have decided to close my checking account before they can take the money out. I called the bank and I have to pay a $25 stop payment fee on them. And if on 12/17 they go to charge under a different name or a different amount - I can call the bank that day before 12 and then have them get it removed this way Avlis won't get ANY OF MY MONEY. I suggest that you do the same because this will work for me... And you!
Bottom line - don't give out your banking info over the phone unless you called them! Since I did the stop payment and the amount of $349 gets taken out with a different name than Avlis, then the bank DEFINITELY knows it is a fraud and will not charge you a NSF (non sufficient fund) in your account. I got this info from someone at the bank.
If you know this is a fraud like I do - then deal with it as soon as you find out - because if they charge you and it is too late - then you lose that money.
