I sure wish I had read all of this before buying property myself. I just received a summons that there was a lien on the property and back taxes owed on land I purchased from Landauction.com, and that the Wayne County Treasurer filed for foreclosure on the land's previous owner, which now affects me! I do NOT understand why the COUNTY TREASURER never contacted me prior to now on the back taxes especially since I have paid $862.82 to date on the
Village, Town, School and other taxes to the County of Wayne NY, on this property. It's obvious they had my information especially since they were able to send me the tax bills for 2008 taxes due. I was told by County Treasurer's secretary that unfortunately my problem is with N.R.L. L East, LLC because they were not supposed
to sell the property to me with lien & back taxes in the first place and NRLL EAST, LLC didn't do their research properly on the land. I'm still waiting to hear from the County Treasurer on this matter. I am currently pursuing this matter which is due to go to Supreme Court on January 15. It is a shame that NRLL East, LLC is still doing business especially when there is so many complaints against them. I also feel that there are a lot of people involved other than NRLL East, LLC that are getting a piece of the pie, like state officials and county officials. How are they able to obtain, sell and transfer all these deeds to properties especially with liens, back taxes etc. Without someone knowing something and blocking the transaction.
