I purchased a home on land contract in november of at the time of the closing i was told by the seller that there were no outstanding property taxes owed. And that half of my monthly payments were to go towards any upcoming taxes, and the homeowners insurance. Which he never paid. Last month i received a letter from wayne county treasurer informing me that no taxes had been paid on this home since and that they are in the process of foreclosing on the home.
