2 Vacuum salesman weared my elderly mother down for 6 hours to sell her a Kirby vacuum. She said no over and over and over again, but didn't want to be rude so didn't kick them to the curb. They kept taking "breaks". One would leave for awhile then come back to relieve the other one.
She got the vacuum that is too heavy for her to push for the bargain price of $800.00. They took her old, perfectly good vacuum "hostage" and now won't answer our calls or return our calls. This is a Kirby approved distributor, but have been trying to reach them for over a month with no luck.
My mother shouldn't have let them in and has learned her lesson. She cancelled her credit card so the payment didn't go through. The only time she received a call back was when the credit card was declined. She told the guy within 72 hours of the sale that she cancelled the credit card and wanted them to come get their vacuum back and return hers. She has been calling 1-2x a week for a month trying to reach K & R Distributing with no luck. I assume the next call will be from collectors, but my mother has even sent registered letters to no avail.
These "salesmen" AKA "exploiters of the elderly" stopped at my brother's house before they went to my mother's and didn't even mention a vacuum cleaner to him. They just handed him a free sweepstakes entry card. Try to tell me they're not targeting the elderly.
