I am yet another victim of the MWI Galleria, USA scam. I just noticed a charge for $139.44 on my credit card bill from Galleria, USA. My wife and I had no idea what it was for, so I called them up.
I talked to a guy named Rick and asked him why his company had charged my card. He said that he had a record of a phone call that took place on 12/17 where my wife was offered a free CD player for a trial membership with Galleria. He also said I was supposed to have received a letter after the phone call with details of the membership and a form to send back if I wanted to cancel.
My wife doesn't recall any such conversation and we never received a CD player or a letter. I still have no idea even what the membership was for and frankly, I don't care. I told Rick (ID #1032) to reverse the charge on the credit card and he immediately agreed to do so.in fact, based on the repeated sighing I heard from him and the tone of his voice I gathered that he had received many such calls as mine.
If I don't see the minus on my credit card very soon then I will take further action against MWI Galleria.
