Just a note to say that MWI Galleria is still charging unwilling consumers. I was recently (2-24-03) charged the $139.95 and had never heard of the company until seeing the name on my credit card bill. I called 1-888-206-2321 and was immediately told my money would be refunded in 3-5 days. The individual was very friendly.
He explained the services the company offers and informed me that Galleria members usually are contacted after purchasing another product, however, he was unable to tell me what I purchased that warranted the return call. He also told me I agreed to (news to me!) a trial membership in Galleria and I should have received a booklet explaining the company and giving me opportunity to cancel.
He did not seem surprised that I knew nothing about any of this, however, he did not hesitate to offer my refund. Perhaps this is a case of a company that takes money from those that do not pay attention to how their credit cards and checking accounts are being billed. My main concern is how did they get my credit card information and address in the first place?
