I tried to cancell AOL service early this year and was told that I had pre-paid for an entire year and they didn't give refunds. The guy in the Phillipines reinstated my account, saying that I was being billed anyway and that I'd be billed again in October. I was FURIOUS but let them get away with it.
In mid September I tried to cancel again, only to recently learn that they charged my credit card in late August for another full year! Calling again, I again spoke to someone in the Phillipines who flat out refused to refund my $!! Not only would she not refund my $, but she would not let me speak with any supervisor, and there are no US numbers to call...
So, this is now twice that AOL has recieved over $250.00 from me, and I do NOT have aol service.
I am not rich and this $250.00 is ALOT to my family. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this.
