I have been dealing with Thompson Inc. For over a year with a dvd recorder player. It broke three months after purchasing it and I returned it to Thompson Inc. After many calls, to the Phillipines where you can barely understand the staff, they sent the replacement.
The replacement broke within a few months so I went through the same procedure again. This started in January and this is June and I am still being told to wait for a refund check to be issued. I am not allowed to speak to anyone in the U.S. They tell me all calls are routed to them in the Phillipines.
I dont believe they intend to send me my money. I think having out of country customer service is their way of ripping people off.
I have written a letter but received no response. I have also called all phone numbers I can find online but the phone stops ringing after 2 or 3 rings. Apparently they dont receive calls. To me it seems that $198.00 has been stolen from me. I wouldnt call this an honest company and would never purchase from them again. Very disappointed that RCA and apparently GE is affiliated with this company.
