Since June this company has been telling me they will pay out my disability claim in full at the point in time I was declared permanently disabled. This occured and was verified by a neuro surgeon in the USA, a general practioner in the USA and now even by specialists in the United Kingdom.
Members of their staff on their call line starting with Mary Floyd last year have continued to tell me the same information. Each time however they move the goal posts! Complete this form, send a letter requesting we pay you out, ask the doctors to complete the following form etc. And so it goes on.
It is now September and they are now telling me no we cannot pay you out and will only pay you monthly. This is despite the fact I have been told this to the contrary by at least ten of their staff members. I am constantly told to call back in ten days a standard answer by them. An so this goes on.
The fact of the matter is I now have gone back to the UK because of my failing health and to get my monthly check I have to pay a friend in the USA to post it. I am charged US$ 50 every three months to get forms completed - I have to spend US$1.99 a minute every time I call them. At the end of the day the small amount I am receiving
I will be dead before this policy has finished paying out. Please note they always got their premiums on time each month and in full. The policy creditor was paid out in full when I sold my house and left the USA.
But try to speak to a manager or someone in charge - thats never piossible. All the managers are always in meetings. I guess trying to plan the next rip off!!!
I do not know what to do any more but certainly I will make it my mission now to let everyone I can know about AMERICAN BANKERS LIFE ASSURANCE COMPANY OF FLORIDA AND THEIR SCAMS!!!
