I went to cometosell a Classifieds site on the internet to find a African Gray Parrot that was for sell They had one I required about it. We then exchanged emails They asked me about if I know anything about Birds. I told them my story with my Birds and Then they told me they where just looking for a good home for this bird sense there job was transfering them out of state and would not be able to take it with them. They where impressed with my knowledge of Birds and Told me I could have him if I was welling to pay shipping and Handling for him. Of course I agreed. They told me they would set it all up on there end to send them all my info, Which I did.
The Next day I recieved a email from the fastpetmoversdelivery service informing me that they had the Bird and was conferming with me all the details of my name, my address, my phone number, and the nearest airport to me. And how much it was going to cost and told me I would have to go to Wal Mart and send a Money Gram or western Union the payment because there office was under going construction and could not take the payment over the phone.
So I went to Wal Mart to send the money because of chorse I didnt want the bird to have to wait there for very long. I got to Wal Mart and the cashier asked me I wanted to send the payment out of the country. I said No it was being sent to this fastpet delievery service in Washington. She informed me that no mam it was going to West Africa. I then told her No I Must have something wrong let me go back home and make sure all information I had was right.
It was all correct so I email both the owner and the company and asked why I was sending the money to West Africa if the Bird was In Washington and so was the delievery service. I got an email back telling me that because the office is under Construction I have to send it to the main office and then they will send them along with me a conf. I then got very suspicious and I tryed to look up this company threw its web site and also threw there id number they provided in there email there was nothing, no web page, nothing looked them up threw the Better Business Bureau in Washington and there was nothing on them there.
I kept getting emails from both Partys telling me to hurry because the bird cant stay there, the bird is freaking out being in a strange place and the long its there the more it will cost. So I email the seller and told them if they want this transaction to be complet as I do Then I ask that they use Delta Pet service and I will take care of everything from my end. That this company there using is a scam and I went into telling them in email how I have done research on them and all that. And I Never heard from the seller again.
I also would like to add I sent a comment to the web classified that I found the bird on which is cometosell and told them that this seller is a scam that is on there page they emailed me back about a week later to tell me thank you and they had went and delete the Bird off the Classified. Which they did Not... Just thought that was importain to know as well. Why They didnt Your guess is good as mine are thay all the one and the same?
