I am reporting this mitchell n. Kay p.C., for what appears to be a false owing of monies.
First, we have been divorced since may and have not lived together since jan. 2002. She has been receiving numerous telephone calls and letters demanding payment of an outstanding t-moble cell phone bill from 2004.
I, as a government employee have never had or used a t-moble cell phone and always have been issued my own offical state cell phone. Never has any member of my, or our extended families ever had anything but cell-one, cingular or now att cell phones as the discount allotted to civil servants.
The amount requested has ranged from $889.76 to $2,300 and change, to be payable immediately or legal judgements and garnishing of wages and all bank accounts will be immediately imposed.
This last notice received via mail, on sept. 9 has more than threatened to cease everything that is on record.
No account information has ever been forwarded to either of us, as requested numerous by my ex. Or with the fact that my currect address has changed and she has no responsiblity of any debt.
They just demanded that she pay this entire amount in full or a complete judgement including every legal cost and reimbursement for all time paid to each employee and all mailing cost are remitted in full immediately, to cover collection of this outstanding debt.
The only answer given to as why they keep bothering her is that "you have opened the mail' or 'you have returned the phone call' or you have answered this call, and so you are accepting the debt."
Is this hard haded and legal??
