I received a call from a man identifing himself as Jeff Hamilton. He left a message for me at work and in this message he proceeded to tell my co worker that I was involved in a Federal Crime and legal actions were going to be taken against me. This could have influenced my reputation at work causing me to loose my job. Fortunatly my employeer knows me better then that.
I then called him from work, long distance mind you, to see if we could talk at a more convienient time. He wouldn't let me get a word in and then basically read me my rights and offererd me an attorny from their department. I asked questions about what the companies names were and how much they were saying I owed. He said that is was over the amount of 2200 dollars. And I needed to pay in full by 1pm my time. I asked again if we could work something out when I wasn't at my job. I was getting frustrated and impatient. I had another call coming in, I switched to my other line, 2 seconds later "Jeff" asks me why I hung up on him. He then says that I will need family and friends to bail me out of jail.
He said he recorded the call, I told him that was fine because I did too. I then contacted my lawyer to find out my rights and then I found usacomplaints.com. I needed to tell everyone to not let these people bully or force you into any kind of payments. Contact the companies they say they are recovering for and work it out with them. Chances are the company you origianated the debt with doesn't know that these "bad" guys are getting information from there systems. They have our SS# Our Addresses bank information... Lets stop these people.
