Jeff Hamilton called my father. Claimed that I owed money and if I didnt call him, I was going to be charged with fraud and be arrested. My dad called me and told me this, gave me his name and the number to call.
I called and he said I owed money on a payday loan from May I had to pay $1,452. If I didnt pay, I would be charged with fraud and be arrested. I repeatedly asked what company he was collecting for and he would constantly get an attitute and repeat the same threat over and over again.
I became frightened and told him that I only worked 10 hours a week and didnt have all that money. He said we could work out a payment plan where I would pay $200 tomorrow, and then $200 every other week. He said he needed my debit card number and current mailing address.
I kept asking for the companies info and he would keep refusing. When I hung up he called back asking why I hung up on him and started again with his threats. He was very rude and wouldnt give me any info whatsoever. I finally just hung up and he kept calling over and over and over again.
He had my name, social security #, old bank info and my fathers, mothers and brother in laws phone number.
