I had an opportunity to work for Orion Marketing Group, and while they did pay me a commission for selling cupons. I had to repeatedly call week after week to get my last check, theaten a lawsuit, and go through a embarassing talk with there secratary. Was I upset about going through this, sure I was, but I got fired, so it shouldn't be a big deal. I was fired on the other hand for holding up an ethical concern in the face of management.
It seems, even if a company wants to quit a promotion, as did a company we were selling cupons for did. My manager assured us if we got all peices sold we would order 100 more from Corperate. Sound like a mobster to you. They were set to back page this woman and her company for another 3000 dollars in loss profit for their own. It work like this they sell a card that puts the money in there (OMG's) pocket and takes it out of the companies pocket for exchange in avertising. The catch is fifty percent of the time the company has no clue the cards are still being printed as was the case with a salon I promoted for. Sixty percent of the card have write in expersation dates, leaving alot of compnaies taxed more than originally thought would be.
