Finally, after dozens of harrassing telephone calls, I got one of these people to tell me what company they work for before they hung up on me. They call two or three times a day with an automated telephone call that puts ME on hold to wait for THEIR salesperson to get around to me. Sometimes the telephone number is unlisted, and sometimes it gives a local number— but when I call that number back, it puts me into a repeating automated message with a fake do-not-call request option.
Since they finally told me their name, General Warranty Services, I looked them up on the internet and have here provided contact information to their customer service department. I called the customer service department and told them that I was keeping a log of their telephone calls for my report to the FTC, and demanded to be taken off their call list immediately. Hopefully this will work!
