I met Chirs smiths on line and was hired as an girl friday. I helped chirs by sending boxes of shoes that were sent here to send them to nigeria to oyowo mi oamide for children in a orphanage.
I had several emails and text messages from chirs and then about 3 weeks ago i was asked to hold some money for him that he's working on a job in england and that the checks were here in the states.
He then asked for me to cash a money card that was comming to me for him and to send the money to his accountant in nigeria.
I told him I did not feel confortable. He assured me many times and then droped the subject. I recived another letting me know that theree are going to be boxes sent here again for me to send again to the same place.
I did not recive any boxes
I was sent more ims that the clients of his was making sure that things were in order before i got them, and that there were going to be 2 checks coming and to sign them and cash them.
I was asked later to cash 2 checks from his work that were his but he had my name on them. I was talked into cashing them and wired money to mr owoyo mi oamide his accountant for him.
I cashed 1 check and then got the money, 2 days later i cashed the other check and wired both at the same time. The first check bounced 2 days later
and i recived a call form the check cashing place and then i im and emailed chirs he told me he did not know why the check bounced and then told me that he was going to call his accountant and get back to me, 1 whole day later he said he was calling his work but no answer. The next day i had the check cashing place tell me to pay his money to him, chirs told me he was tring to get the info for me and will im me back.
The next 2 days i heard nothing then i had an dective call me and then i stared stressing out chirs was tring to get money and the next thing i know i did not hear form him at. I got an im the next night that he was robed and was hurt hit on the head and left arm broken and was in the hosptial.
He did not have the money and now i was being therated that i could go to jail for fraud that it was a major offence.
Chirs still claims he is in the hospital and i am out 615.00 and then i was informed that the other check bounced! Chirs answered my painiced ims and told me he had no money that it was stolen and that he was in the hosipatal. It had to wait till he gets out to pay me for the bounceds he also admitted that it was his fault that i was just trying to help him out.
The next 2 checks were for 700 each i am holding on to them. He wants me to cash them.
He is still dodgeing paying me i was left to deal with this by myself and I fell stressed and scared and angry and hurt.
I have been saving the ims and emails from him from the last 2 weeks, I ahev alos found out that he has a myspace site and recived 2 more checksone on thurs and one on fri.
I have done a reverse tracking and found that were the other 2 checks are form have wrong addresses, and i have been researching more on line
I need info on how to report this to the poilice dept.
I am out 1230.00 and i want this guy caught I have alot of evendence.
I just recived 2 more check with my name on them they were sent to me by ups and dhl i bearly touched them. I have not cashed them and
