Genesis majorly screwed up on my daughter's school fundraiser last year. They ended up refunding everybody I sold to. The checks came for my refund in the amount of $29.50. However, my dad put them in a drawer and they didn't resurface until October of 10 months after the checks were issued. I carefully scrutinized the checks and didn't see anything stating they had to be cashed by a certain time. I even contacted my bank, who told me unless there was a 'void if not cashed by' clause on the check, they were valid to cash pretty much forever. So I deposited them&and they bounced on a closed account! Genesis refunded me once again the $29.50 (leery about cashing the check) on November 17, but they refuse to pay the bounced check fees from my bank. The owner of the company says I should have cashed it in 90 days so it isn't his responsibility&and when I pointed out to them that the check said nothing about that, they STILL won't refund me. They offered me a magazine subscription... I don't want a magazine, I want the $30 my bank charged me because Genesis neglected to put a void by date on their check. IT ISN'T MY FAULT! And I shouldn't have to pay my bank for their screw-up.
