FP Marketing
Phoney, deceptive job offerings

Being a cautious individual, I had decided to 'Google' FP Marketing and it's managment members prior to going in for my interview. I was stunned to read the numerous reports of disgrundled people explaining in detail how the "Smoke and mirror" tactics work there.

When I opened the office door I was immediately taken back by the loud rock music playing in the reception room. I also noticed there were no logos or anything to identify the company. No brouchers, reports, company profiles or the like, just a stack of well worn magazines on a small table. Also there was no artwork on the walls and the receptionist, although pleasant was not dressed in a professional manner.

My instincts told me to just leave but since I had already driven there, I decided to see what unfolded. After about a 20 minute wait during which several people who had been "interviewed" left with less than pleasant looks on their faces. I surmised that I would soon join their ranks. Then, a bouncy
attractive woman came through a door, extended her hand to me and said she would be conducting my interview.

In short order it was clear that their were not "numerous" clients who were being represented by FP Marketing. The "interview" was the standard, "where do you want to be in 5 years?" "What's your strengths and weaknesses?" that sort of thing but it was clear that this was not a company offering a professional sales position to any professional marketing or sales person.

I was then told that with my "qualifications" I should be scheduled for a second interview. I then asked about some of the negative reports on the internet about the company and some of their members. There was a smile and an assurance that the "information" would be reported to the owner. I nodded and said that I felt sure that he already knew.

At that point I had decided I had wasted enough of my time and told the interviewer that "I don't think we have a fit here" My suspicions had been confirmed and I left shaking my head.

To any and all professional job seekers, do not waste your time or resume paper on this worthless marketing job offer.
