Apollo direct marketing, Misleading representation of work description to solicit people to come for an interview

I was looking for a marketing position, posted my resume on many jobsites. Got an email from Apollo Direct saying that their manager liked my resume and wants to interview me for a marketing position. All their emails are saturated with "marketing" terms, seemed some kind of marketing in sports. The website they gave looked more like a gimmick because it had a sub-domain with aspecial id code embedded to track my visit, if the code was removed or altered, site would not load. So, the site was made only for people who got interview email to entice them to come.

Everything on the website said "marketing" and nothing at all about any sales or even a hint. For everybody else, the site would not work if they had no special code, thus, I will not post a link because it would identify myself by that special code. I am not aware of any other website by that company. Also, them emailing me from a Gmail domain is so unprofessional. However, I guess, I took the bait and decided to come for an interview anyway. So, Icome for the interview and the office has signs that it was just rented, the receptionist is answering phones saying "hello, marketing"as if it were a marketing department. Thing is, it looked like a "boiler room" in terms of hiring a bunch of people for a short time for some hard pressing sales.

They did not care about my education and wanted 3 personal or business references, which surprised me because they did not care which (in business world no one cares about personal references). Since I was there I decided to still wait to be interviewedsince I came... So, I met a fast talking rep who took me to a small room where there was another person whom I was told to ignore, some psychological trick? The interview took like 2 minutes when they saw I was not interested. The puzzling was that I wanted marketing, came for amarketing position and they asked if I wanted to change my career to something else, like sales. Of course not!

This is their game, they tell you it is a salesonly when they got you 2 on 1, they would still refer to sales as marketing that leads to sales. My example would be spinning a sign, you can call it marketing too and no sales involved. Just joking, but they try to glorify their position as pure marketing without telling you it is just hard pressure sales. They told me the job would be selling discounted Rockets tickets to businesses. Who would want to spend money for high priced sports tickets in this economy? My previous employer hardly had money for a Christmas party... Well, it was a complete waste of a morning with a bad taste left in my month once I left them. At least they had a decency to validate parking which would have cost me $4otherwise.
