I play an online game called oasis. It states you can win money. I got a check for $5000.00. The letter said i needed to send back western union $2980.00 to pay taxes and then i would get $7,000, 000,000. At the time i was in a financial spot so it sounded good. The check was written on bank of america. I deal with our virginia credit union. They said the check was ok. I cashed it and sent the $2980.00 for taxes. I paid some bills with some of the rest. Then i got a call the check was bad. The bank wanted me to pay it back but i couldnt and i tried to explain they said it was a good check and it wasnt my fault but they took me to court anyway.
I am disabled and get social security disabilty and i told the judge i didnt have the means to pay it back. I have the paperwork and person i sent the $2980.00 to. I didnt know where to get help and just in the last few days i heard of the rip off report.
