I bought some items from classiccloseouts.com last year on 6/20/07. The items were as decribed and a good vaule so I was pleased to say the least. I actually did not become displeased until I went online to view my bank statement to see I had been charged $69.99 and hadn't purchased a thing.
Usually I would have been pissed at this point already, but I calmly wrote a email descibing what I had experienced to the company. I figured someone had accessed their files and i should help them recover their mechandise as well as refund my account.in the morning I called and left a message. I called my bak to cancel my card. Then I wrote them another e mail.
At this point my curiousity got the best of me and I decided to see what this mystery person ordered. No order to be found on my classiccloseout.com account. At this point I am really pissed. This company is affliated with may online sites such as Amazon.com that we as 20th century consumers have grown to trust. Then I think of worse case scenarios... What if that was my gas money? What if I needed the moeny to buy groceries for my daughter?"What it if would have caused my rent check to bounce?
I do an online search and discover I'm not the only one. Some people have been charged more than once, another lady's house is in jeopardy, someone never order from them before yet had been charged as well. These internet thugs were runing people's lives at a time when gas is high moral is low and citizens need their money the most. It was also calculated, all the charges began to come in about 5 days before the end of the month when rent and mortgages are due and your account is at it's meatiest! They not only wanted your money but have no regard for your livelyhood.
I contacted my local police department and local news companies to try to get the word out to consumer's I filed reports with companies that work for consumers who work hard for their money. I sent out my first chain e mail ever and notified all my my space friends. I am so thankful that I'm at a place where $70 didn't ruin my single mother life.
Whenever these cowardly thugs come out from under that rock they've squirreled our money in, I'll be the first to point the finger!
