I became a customer two and a half months ago, and now I can't afford to pay my rent!
I am a single mother and living on one income. I work 40 hours a week, like most people. I went ahead and got a direct deposi account, so my paychecks would go in immediately. No one tells you that you can't rely on the online statement to be correct. Unfortunately, for the first month, I went off of my online statement. Then, due ro the fees, I got a couple of payday loans from the internet, to pay the balance of bills that were going to bounce if I did'nt do something.
Now, The bank has robbed me of 561$ since 10/15. Essentially, my rent. They've allowed these payday places to debit my account up to three times a day. I've had to rescue money from my account at least three times, and pawn some of my belongings, just to come up with enough money for my bills. I've spoken to customer service and they tell me that these companies have every right to try to recover their money as many times as they see fit. And the bank just keeps on taking their 33$ fees. They say they can't refund my money because these were actual transactions. They also say there is a limit of 5 overdraft fees per day. Was that supposed to make me feel better?
In the meantime, I've tried to get a bad credit personal loan of 3000$ to pay off my bills and get back on track, but all I can find are loan locating services for fees. Does anyone know of a reputable company?
