Like a lot of people he scammed, he made me believe that I was best qualified to receive the grant money because I am a female business owner and a minority as well. They claimed that they were professionals and been writing grant for many years. When I asked for references, he told me to check the US chamber of Commerce as the company is a registered member.
The promise was a grant of $150,000.00 3 to 6 months after I paid the $2500. He said that it was better to start before the end of the year as a lot of foundations are doling out grants for tax shelter.
Shortly after, i received a phone call from another employee that he will fax copies of possible grantors but was informed that it was better to file as a foundation with additional fees of some ridiculous amount. I declined.
Then weeks later, another person claiming to be the vice president said that the money cannot be issued unless I sumbmit documents which can be better prepared by a company working for them. Again, the fees were enormous and again, I declined telling them to just give the amount they first promised or even lesser to prove what he claimed.
Now, 6 months passed, their phone numbers were disconnected, their website gone and the reality of having been scammed hit me hard upon reading similar stories.
I don't gamble but I will consider this one as my loss because I did. Yes, they can get away from me but I have a GOD who watches over me. The revenge is not mine but the Lord's.
