I also heard about the company on KIIS FM and went in for a consulation and was told in-detail about their 100% guaranteed refund policy if you are not satisfied or did not get results. So I took a loan out for $2,900 and completed the full rounds of the shots and vela smooth. I dealt with excrutiating pain, nausea, dizziness, lumpiness and both hyperpigmentation from the injections but also uneveness, that still to this day (1 yr and 2 months after) has not evened out. I still deal with tingling and stinging on my skin in the areas that were injected (my back and love handles).
They also scarred me on my right shoulder, injecting the meds.into an area that it should not have been injected and I blistered and was left with a permanent scar.
Then they tried to help the scar (blistering) and the hyperpigmentation from the injection sites with their Fotofacial. I had two treatments done and they burned my back in their areas and scarred me (the size of quarters). I was in tears and irrate and this all happened a month before my wedding. My wedding was horrible since I still had to deal with the swelling, unevenness and scarring on my back. I asked for my money back since I had absolutely no results and looked exactly the same before and after (actually worse with all of these complications) and they stated that they do not give refunds and after I disputed it with the VP and Medical Director and Dr. Adams they stated (months later) that they would give me a year of Fraxel treatments to even out the scarring on my back. They also did a couple of more Velasmooths, which didn't help. They said they would not refund me the money back and that this was never their policy. I asked for my full medical records and they mailed me everything except the contract with the refund policy attached and said that there was no such form in my file. I was traumatized but began the series of Fraxel treatments to help with the scarring and completed about 4 treatments (which helped alittle bit with the scarring only) and all of a sudden (after being scheduled for a f/u and showing up to my 3:30 appt. Yesterday and finding out that they have closed down with a sign on the door and never let me or any other customers know that they were shutdown and no longer practicing. I also spoke with the Sherman Oaks building manager and he stated that they left within a few hours and did not even let the building owner know they were shutting down and are still in a lease with the building. I called the number they forwarded on their main line like 10 times and left messages and no one has returned my calls.
I am disappointed, angry and tired of their lies, scams, empty promises and what they did to my body and mental well-being. I have participated in this possible class-action lawsuit through the website people have mentioned (with the attorney in SF) and would love feedback from anyone who has more info. About what happened to the company, how they were shutdown, how we can find them to sue them and if there are any other attorneys in California or LA who are willing to represent us individually or another class-action lawsuit?
