The Tri-County Humane Society Management: Jeannette Christos, Director, And The Board Of Directors
Corruption, animal abuse, fund misappropriation, racism and discrimination, lies and deceit occurring daily with upper managements' full knowledge and direction

Do not expect to be treated fairly or honestly at the
Tri County Humane Society.

Located at 21287 Boca Rio Road, Boca Raton, Florida.
This shelter has been continually mismanaged for years.
City of Boca Raton owned property, over ten acres and many buildings that are leased to the Tri County Humane Society, employing dozens of staff, and many volunteers. Open to the public Tues-Sun.

Hundreds and hundreds of witnessed and documented complaints against the Tri County Humane Society are all 100% false (!!) according to CEO and director Jeannette Christos. Christos and the Board of Directors (continually proving themselves to be benign, ignorant Boca snobs) should all be tried in court for crimes committed daily at the Boca Rio Road shelter; all of which have been witnessed, documented, and continually ignored, by all those in charge. Absolutely shameful.

Jeannette, WE are 100% liars??? (she has stated this repeatedly about the animal rights groups and concerned citizens) If so, then you can prove it. Take a lie detector test Jeannette, you have made your employees do that on several occasions, for much less, under illegal threats of termination. (We will gladly pay for it). Just answer questions about every item here, on this posting, nothing more, nothing less, and if you can prove most of these allegations to be wrong to the best of your knowledge, exactly as written here, yes or no answers. We will all cease and desist these postings immediately but not one second before. You pick the polygraph expert and we will pay him.

Hundreds of documented complaints, many of which ARE atrocities, presented to and ignored by the Boca Raton City Council and Mayor Abrams office, absolutely SHAMEFUL city-political decisions here, folks. The entire shelter and property actually belong to the City of Boca Raton, so the local city leaders have a definite responsibility to make sure it is managed properly, right? Oh wait, this is Palm Beach County, they did fix a presidential election just a few years ago here. I can only conclude this bogus mayor and city council really dont care about this property that they own and will continue leasing to these corrupt liars managing it, anyway. During the open hearings at City Hall about allegations of impropriety, city council members and Mayor Abrams turned a blind eye and deaf ear to VOLUMES of witnessed verified complaints and a standing-room-only chamber full of Animal Rights supporters looking for and fully supporting change in management at Tri County Humane. The report that was requested (the hearings outcome) and delivered weeks later was a joke, a real SLAP in the face of good concerned citizens with real proof of wrongdoings going on continually, and then it was put to sleep. With an ignorant group of city leaders supporting them through indifference, Jeannette Christos and The Board of Directors are worse than ever. A real shame, this place really could be special for all that live and work there.

The following are witnessed and documented complaints about the Tri County Humane Society, their Board of Directors, Jeannette Christos, the director, and her assistants. They KNEW OF and are fully responsible for all of these horrible instances of abuse and illegality

-Fund and donation misappropriation and re-direction, documented by the actual donators, highly respected members of Florida society, who are still looking for answers to WHY their funds were mismanaged, redirected, and by WHOM? Many good contributors angry and feeling like they were ripped off in broad daylight, then ignored! After the checks were cashed, though

-Unlawful racist and discriminatory practices by management towards many customers, White is right at this place, baby. Welcome to the always right Palm Beach housewives club. Many minorities that are qualified are not approved for adoption of a dog or cat. These Boca boss ladies reserve the right to do whatever they want, whenever they want, for whatever reason they feel like telling you, and they are getting away with it including the continual discrimination used in hiring and firing of minority staff members. There have been illegal aliens working on staff too, with managements full knowledge.

-Illegal medical practices on animals by unlicensed vet techs, unlicensed for many of the procedures performed under poor conditions in the contaminated vet medical trailer, often resulting horribly in more harm or death these poor animals should not be suffering this way, guinea pigs effectively, to amateurs with bad equipment. We all know veterinarians are more expensive than ever, but this is unconscionable behavior and completely improper decision-making by management and the techs themselves. They KNOW it, too. Vet techs come and go, a real stepping stone practice and run" kind of job. Naturalization status unknown for several techs that have been here, also.

-Rampant canine and feline disease and their complete inability to control it. Jeannette is too pig-headed to truly understand the concept of how disease spreads and how it contained; never mind actually implementing proper procedures on how the staff should be controlling these germs that are now spread constantly throughout the shelter daily.

-Infected and diseased sewerage actually cesspooling above ground, coming directly out of and drained underneath the double wide medical trailer. Home to dozens and dozens of VERY sick contagious dogs and cats, crammed into and living and dying in tiny cages. Unbelievably obvious MAJOR PROBLEM. Diseased infected liquid waste has been and still is now contaminating the areas where 'healthy' shelter dogs and cats roam nearby on patios. Jeannette Christos, for years now, has been fully aware of it, has complained that theres no money for a proper waste line (!), same story, yet she is able to build full additions to her offices. (?) THATS got to be expensive, no? Feral cats live, run, and play all around and in the contaminated area itself, and are fed right next to it by staff! Would you let your kids play right next to infected medical waste? Put out their lunch there, next to the germ swamp, on the ground? The boss ladies at Tri County Humane do, apparently. Shameful, shameful, shameful ignorance can be bliss in a nice renovated office though, right boss ladies? Maybe we should take 5 gallon buckets of the open cesspool swamp medical water, dump it in your newly constructed offices right on the new floors, and make you wade through it and work in it all day, if you think that its so safe and non-problematic.

-Regular placement of known very sick animals into general population and adoption areas. They are cute, and these particular ones must be there, PERIOD, transmittable contagious disease or not according to Jeannette Christos, on more than one occasion the cries of volunteers and staff ignored by the duh duh-rector Christos. Gotta get customers in with the cute one Oh, but she is always right (loud and abrasive too) about everything. Dont rock her boat, baby. Unbelievable! A real Leona Helmsley prototype, but common ignorant trash in reality.

-Staff are routinely docked extra hours and days illegally for calling in sick. Call on Tuesday with a problem, eh? Well, Jeannette has screamed over the phone on more than one occasion, then dont bother coming in until Friday end of call.

-Wages are real low, as is moral with the hard working staf. Good folks who know what is going on firsthand, and are very intimated by the arrogance of managements threats against any kind of truthful exposure to the public. Several staff members were fired on the spot by Jeannette Christos for just mentioning that they would report abuse violations to the proper authorities or media if they thought it would help things come to light. This abuse and mistreatment of staff and volunteers by management, low wages, and negative reinforcement continual threat management attitude towards all beneath them has to stop now. These boss ladies practice discrimination and racism all too freely, in the hiring and firing of minority staff employees. Is this 2008 or 1948? Civil rights people could have a field day here.

-Improper, and now illegal importation of animals from other Florida counties regularly and discreetly into the shelters population. Another fine example of keeping the animals here safe and healthy, right Jeannette?

-Illegal hoarding of animals by management, we dont even want to speculate on what the hell they are trying to do, but another fine example of quality animal care.

-Euthanization of hundreds of animals on site yearlybut doesnt that nice BIG sign on Boca Rio Road read that Tri County is a 100% no-kill shelter? The on-site crematory is going constantly folks; with upper managements full knowledge. More lies.

-Non existent adoption board, Jeannette Christos makes every decision solely, with bias and discrimination in mind, and is constantly declining qualified adopters (for her own PERSONAL reasons) through the girls at the main desk, under the guise of The Adoption Board has not approved you, sorry. They are not here now, but they decided you cant adopt, I dont know why, but have a nice day. No, no, no, Jeannette. If Mr. And Mrs. Black and Senor Rodriguez are qualified, they GET the pet, period. A real bigot of a director. Were not adopting kids here, people management really needs to be changed, ASAP this is ridiculous

-Hundreds of angry customers, donators, volunteers and staff, PLEADING for some changes NOW at this shelter. I kid you not, folks its really that sad. Nice paint job and flower beds, though. We need some real effective fair management here, right away, that will keep the animals needs FIRST, and improve morale with the customers, staff, and volunteers, not these close-minded know it all racist Boca bitches (sorry, but were mad as hell now) that are borderline completely out of control.

Bring your family somewhere safe and honest

You will be lied to about an animals breed, their health and their disposition at tchs, and you will end up paying for those lies with grief and heartache, and huge vet bills.

Write to the boca raton city council and mayor steve abrams office now. Open their blind eyes and deaf ears, if you can.

Fire jeannette christos and the phony board immediately, lets get some folks in there that really care, that will help the facility be all it can be, for the animals sake.

Are you ready for your lie detector test, Jeannette? If this is all 100% wrong, and unknown to you, as you repeatedly say, even 75% of this whole posting then prove it, and we will apologize publicly and go away, poof! Any time is fine with us. And dont forget - you get to pick the polygraph expert, and we will pay. Put up or shut up. Its time for change.
