Disconnected DirecTV services to find out there is a 2 year contract. I reviewed my records and I did find a DirecTV Equipment Lease Addendum BUT it has not been signed. Read DirecTV customer agreement section 5."Cancellation (b) Your Cancellation. You may cancel service by notifying us. You may be charged a deactivation fee as described in Section 2 and issued a credit as described below. Your notice is effective on the day we receive it.
You will still be responsible for payment of all outstanding balances accrued through that effective date.in addition, to any deactivation or change of service fees provided in Section 2, if you cancel service or change your service package, you may be subjected to an early cancellation fee if you entered into a seperate programming commitment with DirecTV in connection with obtaining receiving equipment, and have failed to maintain the requested programming package for the required period of time".
I did not enter into a seperate programming commitment. I have wrote two letters explaining this, I Just sent the second letter today. We will see what they do. I will update as I hear from the theives aT DirecTV.
