Receiving continued harassing telephone calls from a company after I informed them that: 1) I did not request information from them regarding government grants, 2) the number they reached is on the National Do Not Call Registry and not to call the number again, 3) if they called again I would report them to the authorities. Then on the 10th or 12th call I told them that I had filed complaints with my phone service carrier, the DNC registry, and the police. They even called 2x! While I was on the phone with the local precinct.
I tried returning the number listed on my Caller ID and got a recording with the standard "all representatives are busy assisting other customers..." I was put on indefinite hold. I hung up after 40 min.
I have now filed a formal written complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's Office. If you have any questions about the complaint submittal process for this state, you may contact the Consumer Resource Center at 1-800-551-4636 between 10:00 A.M. And 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
