Pereira Marketing is another Marketing scam whith lousy liers

I would just like to top off earlier report by Carlstadt, New Jersey, I bet I can do it. Not only did I experience exact the same thing but a little more from Pereira Marketing. It happens exactly as Carstadt mentions it. First interview, than a second with orientation, than they train you for two weeks were you are not compensated if you don't sell. I interviewed with them last year and worked with them for 3 weeks and I have to tell you that it was the most unprofessional environment that I have been exposed to.

They target young people right out of college (because we are gullible and we will most likely go for that 2nd interview). Once they take you out on your "orientation day" they will promise that you will make money, more or less 40,000. Whomever, is taking you out on the orientation day is actually your sponsor, so when you start working for them you get 12% of your sells and they get another couple of % of your sells as well (it goes up all the way to the owner), that is way it's important for them that you stay on the job... Cause they are making money off of you... Oh and that lunch they take you on... You pay for your own lunch...

I went through the whole scenario of working for them for 3 weeks or so till I had enough of their B.S. The second training day I went on with someone that was promoted already and was ready to train (it was a year ago so I forgot the fancy titles they used, oh and their promotion is based on one person saying "oh yeah you learned your pitch so you can be a trainer now")... Anyhow, that day I was told that we will be driving in my car (using my gas and my millage that I was not going to be compensated for) since she's training me and it's for my benefit. Right there and then, I was not a happy camper but I kept on saying to myself It can't get any worse than this, but believe me. It did.

They took me on one of their pathetic "business trips" for a week somewhere in S. Carolina. On this "business trip" I took nothing with me since I assumed we will stay at the hotel, so no towels no sleeping bag or anything of such. I was in disbelief when they told me that they are car pooling. Their idea of "business trip" is taking sleeping bags with them and crashing at someone's apartment in S. Carolina that hasn't been cleaned in months. I took a shower and I had to dry myself off with paper towels since I didn't have my own towel (I'm not exaggerating at all). We (girls) were sleeping on two naked twin mattresses that were put together without any blankets, I had to cover myself with my coat since I wasn't advised of the kind of trip it was. I couldn't fall asleep cause it was so cold and the owner of the house kept on turning the heater off (it was mid Feb 07).

Anyway, next morning, we were driven to McDonalds to get our breakfast that we had to eat on our laps, inside the car while driving to our our territories. We had to walk in unknown neighborhoods for 8hours door to door with a heavy bag. We were advised that we have to walk back to the office, and from my territory it was a good hour walk. On my way back about Half an hour into my walk I noticed someone was fallowing me and shouting something (mind you it was about 4- 5pm and getting dark), I tried to ignore it and right away called the girl that was working for Pereira Marketing and the only one that had a car. I asked her to please come and get me cause I was scared since there is someone fallowing me and there is no were to run (meaning open businesses). Her response was it's probably nothing, I'll see you at the office and hung up on me. Once I saw a business office I docked there (I should had called police but my unknown stocker left). I got to the office 2hours later, scared and in tears.

Once in the office I freaked out on them, gave them piece of my mind and quit that night. Since there were no more flights that day I had to wait till the morning to go home (I was broke so I couldn't even go to any hotels). I was told by the supervisor of Pereira Marketing that I have to call a cab in the morning since they will not drop me off. I cried myself to sleep that night cause of the horrible day that I went through.
That's my warning to you Beware of them. Astonishingly unprofessional and Scam artists. Scam. Scam.
