I.R.R. Vacation Rip off scam

I received a fax at work advertising vacations to Riviera Maya or Cancun Mexico at $399.00 per person. So I called and I was a little hesitant at first at what they were trying to sell me on. A young lady by the name of Jennifer told me if I booked with them right now they would knock off an additional $200.00 off the advertised price. I asked how can you offer such cheap rates on a 5 star resort and she said because large corporate companies buy large quantities of these packages and whatever they have left over we resell them. Sounded legitimate. I specifically asked if they were trying to sell me a time share and she assured me no and then I asked if the price of the package was all I had to pay and that when I get ready to book my vacation they are not going to try and spring other charges on me and she assured me no that the price I pay was it. I asked if these were 5 star resorts and she assured me they were even gave me a website address to check out the "resorts". They even said I can choose any of the resorts at any of those locations on the website. Meals and drinks were included and that they wouldn't even charge me for my oldest child. Sounds great right? Well after I sent my reservation form they called me back and I had some dates picked out and the name of the resort picked out. Lalene proceeded to tell me that the dates I picked were peak travel time and there was an additional fee for that. So I went back and picked some other dates those dates were not considered peak travel dates but the resort I chose was a premium resort and there was an additional fee for that. Oh and the kicker she noticed I was traveling with 2 kids and she proceeded to tell me the 9 yr old was an addl $199.00. And the Resort was an additional $300.00 and I had to attend a manadatory 90 minute time share presentation. If I didn't attend the presentation my stay at the resort would not be paid for. Basically I got scammed. I contacted an attorney and he advised me to contact the attorney generals office in my state and file a complaint and maybe if there are enough of us we can sue these guys and PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. My lawyer is trying to pursue them to get my money back.
