Resorts Nationwide charges you $500 to $1300 to "market your timeshare." They say that they can do this because they have "corporate buyers waiting". They may tell you that you can get at least as much as you paid for it. They'll also tell you that they can usually rent or sell it in 2 to 4 months.
Do not believe any of this. They put your timeshare on a web site and that's it. The web site probably has dozens of other entries from the same timeshare complex. If you go to Resort Nationwide's web site at http://www.resortsnationwideinc.com/, you can search for your particular property. For my resort, they had at least 40 listings. My listing didn't even appear on the first page. I never received a single referral.
Your listing automatically expires after six months. They'll relist it for no charge, but you have to call them to ask and you probably won't sell it anyway.
They charged my card without waiting for my signature (as required by their own paperwork) and they refuse to refund the money.
