I received a sketchy phone call today. They told me that I had been chosen as a 'winner' and that I could come and pick up my prize, which was to be one of the four following prizes: Lincoln Navigator, cash (can't remember how much), a vacation or a flat screen TV. They asked me if I was single, if I made over $40,000 a year and if I had a credit card. These were 'qualifying' questions. They told me I could only come in the evening and that I could not bring anyone.
When I started asking questions, she got very testy and made fun of me, making comments such as: "Do you never go anywhere alone?" and "Are you afraid somone is going to kidnap you?" Of course, at that point I knew this could not be legitimate. Anyone who his put off by a safety concern has an agenda that is not in your best interest. The fact that these people even have my phone number makes me feel quite violated.
Consider yourself warned!
