I understand the frustration of the previous complainant. I received one of these from a family member after my health was compromised, and needed to be able to cook things quickly, however, there was no cookbook. Since I can't use it without the cookbook, it is useless. I called to try to purchase a cookbook & spoke with Paris who told me since it was purchased more than a year ago, I could not buy one. Thinking she HAD to have misunderstood me, I wasn't looking for a freebie, I wanted to purchase the cookbook that went with it.

I then asked to speak with the supervisor of customer service, since they are usually more willing to offer something that is out of the norm. She again told me that SHE is the customer service person to speak with, and there is nothing that can be done, so sorry. I pressed her to speak with her supervisor, and she said that this was not a call for the supervisor, so she refused to put my call through, although FINALLY giving me his name. She also said she would put down in her notes what was said. She refused to give me the address of the corporate office, or the name of the CEO since it was not relevant.

Wow! I knew Paris was an airhead, but I didn't know she possessed the knowledge to know what a customer can do with regards to contacting a person in the upper echelon! This has annoyed me enough to make a deal out of it. She has no right telling me who I can speak with simply because she answers the phone to take orders.
