In Nov we signed up for Direct TV special of 34.99 per month (which after tax and other charges costs us 76.17. With that we were told we would recieve a free portable DVD player.
Months later, many phone calls and letters written we have still not gotten our free DVD player.instead we were sent a coupon book. I do not want the coupon book I want the free DVD player. The battle has only begun.
Each phone call is the same. They will look into it and I will hear back in about 10 days do I ever hear back no. Do I continue to call yes.
I was told by the csr that the redemption form states clearly it is for a free gift. It does not say for a DVD player. Well to her surprise I kept the flyer that came in the mail back in November that clearly says recieve a free DVD player three different times on the form. She asked for a copy.
On my latest call 2-29-08 I was told if I returned the coupon book they will look into exchanging it for the DVD player as long as I enclose a copy of the flyer and a letter telling why I would not want the coupon book.
I'm not holding my breath but I'm not giving up either. I have desided to forward copies of all my information to the VP of Customer Relations.
I can not believe that there could be another company with so many dissatisfied customers and still be in business.
