I was with this company for 4 years as manager, I had been in restaurant management for 20 years before that. So I had alot of management experience. Not only did they tell me I would only have to work 45 hours a week, They said I would have all the help we needed. I worked a minimum of 70 hours a week with payroll hours of 105 to 120 hours a week. When I needed help because my paperwork would get behind it was like talking to a wall. I had no asst.
The week before I was fired I was given an award for keeping payroll under control and my store looked great! The next week I was fired for deposits missing From 3 months prior. This had happened a year before and they came up as computer error. They didn't even have eniough evidence to stop me from getting unemployment! Since this happened to me there has been several this same thing has happened to just in our area, one was over. 34 cents they said she was keeping a slush fund. She had been a manager for 10 years. Its like they are trying to Get rid of all the ones that have been there awhile and they have mostly been replaced by men. The people that have been with DG are hard workers and don't deserve to be treated like this. When I was fired they told me I would not be able to afford to fight them, but I'm trying to find an attorney for a civil suit now.
